Colleton River

This upscale golf community is one of the finest Clubs in the entire area. The residential club is situated on 1,500 acres and has 704 buildable homesites. About 370 homes are currently there and 64% are full time residents. The community was developed by legendary developer John Reed in 1995.

There are two golf club houses (and golf courses) located on the property. One is the Nicklaus and the other is the Dye Club House. The Nicklaus is more formal and is about 40,000 sq. ft. and the Dye is casual at 20,000 sq. ft. Standing on the rear deck of both clubs is really a site to behold!

There is also a fitness center and complete golf learning center. If you want to see Colleton River you should rent the movie “The Legend of Bagger Vance”. The movie was filmed right there on the Dye Course.

The property has seven miles of scenic shoreline along the Colleton River and the Chechessee River. 704 buildable lots with 382 homes currently in place. 65% full-time residents.

This is a member-owned Club. There is also a community dock where members can use the kayak launching ramp and storage.

The Club has many awards like The Platinum Club of America and the Distinguished Emerald Club of the World.

Home prices start at $500,000 and go all the way to around $4,000,000. Homesite pricing begins at minimal and currently goes to around $1,300,000. When you buy real estate you must join the Club and that is a one time fee of $15,000. The annual dues are currently (2017) $19,925.

Colleton River does have a “Discovery Program” where you can stay two nights and experience what the Club is all about! For more information on this please contact me directly (cell: 843-295-2114).

I personally think Colleton River is one of the finest Club’s in the entire area!
