Oldfield will surprise you both in scale and design. One of the big things about Oldfield is the fact that you don't have to join the Golf Club and pay the fees.
I think you will find Oldfield a great "find". The property was developed by Crescent Communities, the same company that is developing Palmetto Bluff. It does not have the same location as, let's say Colleton River or Moss Creek but you do have quick access to Hilton Head, Savannah and Beaufort. The Golf Clubhouse is very small and quaint. They also have a beautiful "River Club" overlooking the Marsh. Located next to the River Club is the Outfitters Center, a place to get Kayaks, fishing equipment, etc. The feeling is very casual and I think you will get a lot for your dollar. There is a very big plus---You don't have to join the Club.
Set along the banks of the Okatie River next to the live oaks, Oldfield offers luxury living in a great location. Oldfield is positioned equidistant to Hilton Head Island, Savannah, Beaufort and Bluffton.
There are 18 holes of golf designed by Greg Norman. Greg Norman is known for designing courses together with their natural environment and a certain degree of difficulty. Greg Norman created a great golf course at Oldfield by designing a wonderful route through the live oaks. With five sets of tees, the course is very playable.
